Jennifer has been a certified Iyengar Yoga
teacher since 1989 and has been teaching for over twenty years. Grateful to
her practice and study in the Iyengar system and to John Friend and
Anusara Yoga, her path continues to be one of playful self-discovery.
Former owner of the Mill Valley Yoga
Studio, she is a graduate of the San Francisco Iyengar Yoga Institute,
has trained with the Iyengars in India, and with senior teachers of many
yoga methods throughout the United States. She has an eighteen year
relationship with Rancho La Puerta spa in Mexico where she helped
spearhead their widely recognized yoga program and introduced thousands
of students to Iyengar yoga.
She holds a black belt in the Nia Technique
and is a long time student of meditation whose teachers include Jack Kornfield,
Thich Naht Hahn, Jon Kabat-Zinn and Cheri Huber. She continues to study and is a
devoted student of Kofi Busia in Santa Cruz, California.

For many years Paul combined the art of
living and practicing his own yoga
and meditation in the world of business, from commodities futures trader
to land developer. As a developer he envisioned and planned two centers
devoted to good health and ecological appreciation.
His master's work at New York University was in economics, after which he
received a degree in Fitness Training and went on to formally study yoga
primarily in the Iyengar tradition. He now specializes in yoga for back care, is
an avid meditator, and is certified in the Nia technique which brings out his
wild and crazy side.
His yoga training has been influenced by years of personal practice and by many
yoga teachers including his partner, Jenni Fox. He feels very aligned with
John Friend and the heart-oriented teachings of Anusara Yoga, and he is a devoted
student of Kofi Busia. His path is to open the heart and body to all possibilities.

Jenni and Paul are special presenters for IDEA (the world's
largest association of fitness professionals), and they are frequent
guest teachers at Rancho La Puerta where they were formerly on full-time
staff. They were on the Board of Advisors of Healthy Living magazine
where their yoga articles were featured monthly for three years.
They are the co-owners of YOGA/Nia Adventures.
For a combination of over twenty-five years they have
been studying, practicing and teaching yoga, Nia, and
meditation. They live in Santa Cruz, California where
they offer workshops, classes and private sessions.
Our philosophy
We try to live and communicate yoga in a joyful, down-to-earth manner.
We're both over 50, and find that each year, in spite of the fact that
we're "getting older", we are stronger, more flexible, feel lighter and
younger than at thirty (when we were both quite stiff). For us yoga is
an experience of another dimension of life often unseen but deeply felt.
Our goal is to continue to awaken a sense of wonder, love, gratitude and
peacefulness. A listening to our bodies. And our hearts.
Trusting the wisdom of intuition and keeping sight of connection with ourselves, others and
divine spirit.
We see a great longing and a need for spiritual
practice that can help us all stay more centered.
For us, yoga is the starting point, a powerful
anchor for everything we do.
YogaPlay and Nia movement are tools that remind
us to play, dance our spirits, and have fun. Meditation offers silence,
the space to go within and to practice non-interfering attention. Our
adventure weeks provide a sense of community as we continue to explore
all aspects of connection.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing our journey.
