Where is Maya Tulum?
Maya Tulum is a 1 1/2 hour drive south of
Cancún. The forces of nature are powerfully magnetic in this
private paradise to which we've returned many times. Group size is small
to allow individual attention, personal growth and an atmosphere of
intimacy. Accommodations are simple but lovely. Comfortable cabanas melt
into lush tropical gardens. Beds in some of the standard cabanas hang
from hemp ropes, and gently sway to the ocean breezes! Standard rooms
are served by a central bath house (practically outside your door) with
hot showers and separate sections for men and women. Deluxe cabanas have
private baths. Super Deluxe are more luxurious, spacious and
contemporary.
The ocean and cenotes are safe for swimming and snorkeling.
Scuba diving and certification are available in the area for an additional
fee. The picturesque archaeological sites of the Maya cities Tulúm
and Cobá are nearby.
Why take-a-week away?

Many people say they have to start yoga first before trying
it for a whole week. We're not so sure. What can be a better way than to try
it for a week, and give yourself a fair chance to see if you like it?
And if you are practicing regularly at home, it's never as intense or as
full or as deep as it is when you do it for a long weekend or a full
week or two without the distractions of home. Practicing something that
involves using your body and senses fully helps develop your capacity
for passion. Being passionate ignites discipline.
The discipline of daily practice brings freedom. You have moved away
from the familiar. Learned to see with new eyes, listen with new ears,
perhaps developed a "new" body. Once home you can continue to renew your
energy, build your strength, deepen your commitments and connection.

"Thanks for a great week. I loved the small size,
the schedule, the emphasis on meditation learning (which I need), the room
and the swinging bed, and our amazing graduation session. I like your evoloving
teaching style; it seemed to call on me in a good way. Thanks for stretching
me out, mind and body."
